A pet sitter whose clients laugh before they book

Retro Bloom is built around one joke: a dog in a shower cap, wrapped in a towel and sitting in a tin bath. That photograph is doing real work. It tells a dog owner you are relaxed, good-humoured and happy to deal with muddy paws, which is the reassurance many people want before they hand a stranger their door key. It suits a sole trader or a small local team doing dog walks, drop-in visits and overnight stays for households nearby, and it fits especially well if you offer a bath or a tidy-up as part of a visit. Whisker Glow speaks softly to cat owners through painted portraits. Retro Bloom is the dog-first choice, with a retro poster feel that comes across as cheerful and a little cheeky rather than calm.

One screen that already does the asking

The template is a single landing screen, and each part of it has a clear job. Across the top sits your name as a two-line wordmark (the text version of a logo), four navigation links with the current page highlighted, and a menu icon for phones. Down the left is a large two-line headline, a short paragraph and one bold button, which is where you would put "Book a meet and greet" or "Check my availability". On the right is the framed photograph, tilted slightly so it looks like a snapshot pinned to a noticeboard, which suits a personal, one-person business. Along the bottom are two small pairs of labels, useful for your phone number and the areas you cover, plus a round arrow control.

Because only one strong colour is used for anything clickable, a visitor's eye goes straight to your booking button. Nothing on the page competes with it.

Swapping a presentation slide for your business

This design began life as a presentation slide called "Introduction to Pet Care", so every word on it is placeholder. You will rewrite the headline, the paragraph, the button label, the wordmark and both footer labels. That is roughly a hundred words, which most sitters can draft in an afternoon. The paragraph is set as a neat block with straight edges on both sides, so keep it to a few tight sentences.

The four navigation links point to pages that do not exist yet. Expect to write those yourself, for example services and prices, a page about you and your insurance, reviews from clients, and contact details. The round arrow at the bottom was meant to move to the next slide. You can point it at your services page or remove it.

The photograph is the biggest decision. The template works best with a funny, natural photo of a real client's dog, taken with the owner's permission, rather than a polished stock image. If you have a few of those on your phone already, Retro Bloom will feel like your business from day one.
