A builder that leads with its track record and its cranes

Burnt Concrete is for a home builder that wants to be judged on scale and track record. That might be a residential developer putting up apartment blocks, a builder delivering townhouse schemes on a site at a time, or a firm whose buyers include landowners, investors and housing partners as well as families. The opening pitch is the firm itself: a confident name, a short statement of what it does, and a row of numbers that prove it.

That puts it apart from the other two in this category. Forge sells the ability to get a job built with your own trades. Page Overview sells a calm, guided design process. Burnt Concrete sells the company: how much it has built, how long it has been at it, how big it is. If your sales conversations start with "how many homes have you delivered?" rather than "how will you look after me?", this is the one that fits.

The photography backs that up. It shows a concrete structure going up under tower cranes, shot from below. It reads as a firm working on serious structural builds, which is right for a developer and gives you a reason to show your own active sites rather than staged show-home interiors.

One strong opening screen, with the rest of the site still to build

What the template gives you is the first screen a visitor lands on, and it is done thoroughly. There is a header with your name, five navigation links and a contact button. Below that comes a two-line headline, with the second line in a different brand colour so the two halves of your positioning read separately. A three-line paragraph says what you build and where. Two buttons sit side by side, so you can offer two paths, for example "View developments" and "Talk to us". A statistics row holds three headline figures with labels, the natural place for homes completed, years trading or sites active. Two large photographs fill the right half.

The navigation suggests a bigger site, but the inputs cover this opening screen only. Plan on building the pages those five links point to, such as developments, the company story and contact, in the same style.

What changes before it carries your name

The placeholder firm is Fradel and Spies, "Building Construction", so the name, the headline and the paragraph all need rewriting around your own positioning. The three statistics need real figures. They are the most persuasive part of the page, so they are worth checking carefully rather than rounding up.

The two photographs need replacing with your own sites. Pictures of your own structures under construction work best. If most of what you sell is finished homes, a mix of one build shot and one completed scheme keeps the industrial character without hiding the product.

The look depends on a matched pair of brand colours against plain white, used on the headline, buttons and the solid blocks set behind each photograph. If your brand already has two strong colours, swapping them in is a small job. If you have one, you would choose a partner for it before launch.
